Brunswick County Public Utilities is currently accepting applications for a Deputy Director - Wastewater Operations to join our Leadership team and assist the Public Utilities Director in the overall administration of development, operation, and maintenance of the County's water and wastewater system with a primary focus on wastewater system operations. Classified as a Grade 4 Collection System and Wastewater Treatment Facility by the NC Department of Environmental Quality (NCDEQ), Brunswick County Public Utilities provides wastewater (sewer) services to roughly 28,000 retail sewer customers and wholesale customers across a large service area. Our Public Utility team is committed to the community and takes a lot of pride in providing a high level of wastewater collections service to our customers every day.
The Deputy Director - Wastewater Operations will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operation and maintenance of all Brunswick County wastewater system infrastructure, including:
Bachelor's degree in engineering, biology, or chemistry or an associate degree in engineering technology, water treatment technology, water resources, or related field, AND ten (10) years of experience in the wastewater industry; OR any equivalent combination of training or experience which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.
