General Statement of Job Duties:

Chester Sewer District (d/b/a Chester County Wastewater Recovery) is seeking a highly motivated and skilled Industrial Pretreatment Coordinator to join our team. The Industrial Pretreatment Coordinator will ensure that industrial wastewater discharges meet federal, state, and local standards. This role involves working closely with industrial users, conducting inspections, managing permits, and ensuring regulatory compliance. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in environmental regulations, industrial wastewater treatment, and compliance monitoring.

Key Responsibilities:

Administer and enforce the Industrial Pretreatment Program.
Conduct inspections, sampling, and audits of industrial dischargers.
Review, issue, and monitor industrial wastewater discharge permits.
Provide regulatory support to industrial users.
Prepare compliance reports and maintain accurate records.
Investigate violations and recommend enforcement actions.
Stay up-to-date with environmental regulations and best practices.
Monitor industrial discharge reports and data.
Provide technical assistance on non-compliance issues.
Coordinate with regulatory agencies and conduct public outreach.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in environmental science, Chemistry, Biology, Engineering, or a related field (preferred).
At least 3 years of experience in industrial wastewater treatment, water treatment, or environmental compliance.
Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local pretreatment regulations.
Excellent analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
Ability to analyze data and prepare detailed reports.
Valid driver's license.

Preferred Qualifications:

Certification in Industrial Pretreatment or a related field.
Experience with wastewater treatment processes.
