WASTEWATER/WATER TREATMENT PLANT OPERATOR
EA Services, LLC has been providing contract operations support for over 40 years. We are a small company with an excellent team of employees based in Columbia, but serving several counties in SC. We are currently looking for a multi-licensed operator. Primary focus will be biological wastewater treatment, but will also have some physical/chemical treatment, water treatment and water distribution. An excellent opportunity to expand your knowledge and training! Excellent pay, health insurance, life insurance, 401K, short-term and long-term disability, and vacation benefits offered. Entry level pay is $22.00 to $28.00 an hour based on qualifications and current licenses. Work week is Monday through Friday with occasional weekends. Holidays are paid, but ALL full-time employees work a shortened day as workload necessitates and holiday hours are double time. Generous holiday bonuses. Starting pay is negotiable based on knowledge, skills, and licenses currently held.
Duties will include in-lab field meter calibrations, daily site visits, sample collection and analysis, record keeping, process control and treatment. Each day will include site visits to drinking water systems, biological wastewater treatment plants (lagoons) as well as physical/chemical facilities.
Requirements:
High school diploma or state approved GED
SCDL with good driving record required.
Class B Biological Wastewater Treatment license. Class D Water Treatment license. Class C Physical/Chemical Treatment license or ability to obtain in a timely manner.
Ability to lift fifty (50) lbs. unassisted.
